Community Living Huntsville invites community youth to participate in its 2023 Holiday Card Drawing Contest. The winning entry will be featured on the not-for-profit’s official holiday card in December and the artist will receive a prize of 50 Downtown Dollars.
“Each holiday season, we send a card with custom artwork to community members, supporters, and partners in gratitude of their commitment to growing a more inclusive community with us. This year, we invite children ages 12 and younger to participate in a friendly contest that could see their drawing featured on our 2023 card,” community engagement specialist Jennifer Jerrett said in a news release. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for young artists to showcase their creativity, celebrate the spirit of the season, and participate in their community — while we see the magic of the season through the eyes of a child.”
The contest theme is Holiday Magic. Participants are encouraged to draw a picture that reflects the holiday season's warmth, joy, and festive spirit. Artwork, either hard copy or digital, must be created on a plain white background and should fit onto an 8.5-inch by 11-inch letter-sized paper. The winning entry will be chosen based on creativity, originality, theme, and overall look.
